Alicia Susan Himes

Alicia S. Himes, 60, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday April 25, 2021. Alicia was born July 13, 1960 in Schenectady New York the daughter of the late John C. Himes and Carole A. Schoonmaker. She was educated in Burnt Hills

Ballston Lake schools. She was employed as a Direct Support Professional at the O.D. Heck Developmental Center in Schenectady.

Alicia was a Christian woman of strong faith. She was a longtime member of the Rejoice Banner Ministries. She loved cooking, was an artist and truly loved the outdoors, especially swimming and camping.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by two brothers; Charles A. Schoonmaker and Lee J. Schoonmaker.

Survivors include two brothers; Mark (Francine) Schoonmaker and Todd Schoonmaker, three sisters; Sondra (Richard) Erickson, Regina Himes and Jill Schoonmaker. Her beloved extended family Jessica and Vincent Erickson, Kyle Johnson, Ramon (Camille) Johnson and their children; Camryn and Caleb, as well as many nieces and nephews and her dear friend Barbara Schrell.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
