Sheree J Higginbotham

Sherry Joann Higginbotham, 56, of Schenectady, New York, passed away surrounded by loved

ones. Born and raised in Schenectady, Sherry spent her life bringing joy, laughter, and

kindness to everyone who knew her.

Sherry was a devoted wife to Paul Lainhart, a loving mother to her daughters McKayla

Higginbotham and Victoria Lainhart, and a proud grandmother to Elias Lainhart and Jandres

Ramos Jr. She was also a cherished sister to Kimberly Vandenburg, and a beloved aunt to

Martia Higginbotham, Ayesha Higginbotham, Amber Simone, and her late nephew Nathan

Higginbotham.

Sherry worked as a housekeeper at Proctors Theater, where she was known for her strong work

ethic and friendly spirit. She loved cooking, cleaning, and listening to music, and she found her

greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sherry had a big heart, a

beautiful soul, and a personality that could light up any room. She loved food, crime shows,

and angels ̶ a reflection of the warmth, curiosity, and faith she carried through life.

Sherry will always be remembered for her honesty, her outgoing nature, and her ability to

make everyone around her smile. She was truly the life of the party, and her presence will be

deeply missed by all who knew her.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM
