Carmelo Oquendo, Jr.

Carmelo Oquendo, Jr, 72 , entered in the arms of the Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at The Grand Rehabilitation & Nursing  at Guilderland.

Carmelo was born on November 15, 1946 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Carmelo and Rasalia Rodriguez Oquendo.

He was employed as a Forklift Driver for Eagle Electric, Company in NYC, until retiring. He then moved to Schenectady 16 years ago.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife Awilda Maissonet Oquendo, his loving and devoted children; Edward, Lisa, and Michelle Oquendo, brothers Carlos Oquendo and Raymond Serrano, sisters; Migdalia and Carmen Oquendo, Maria Serrano and Loiz Oquendo, eight precious grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also survived by a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
