Benito Velez-Rodriguez

Benito Velez–Rodriguez, 61, entered into eternal life on April 17, 2021 at Ellis Hospital. Benito was born on January 29, 1960 in San German Puerto Rico, the son of the late Juan M. Velez -Ortiz and Santa Rodriguez-Morales. He was educated in Puerto Rico coming to Schenectady in the early 1980s, then moving to Florida.

He was employed as a truck driver for the city of West Palm Beach Waste Collections.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Carmen Martinez.

Survivors include three sons; Benito Ponce, Kawasky Ponce and Johnathan Velez, Two daughters; Shastidy Ponce and Lindwiska Velez, One brother; Jose M.”Cheo” Velez-Rodriguez, Two sisters; Vina Velez and Socorro Velez, 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
